Prof Duncan McFarlane is Professor of Service and Support Engineering at the Cambridge University Engineering Department, and head of the Distributed Information & Automation Laboratory.

Dr Ajith Kumar Parlikad is a Lecturer in Automation Systems at Cambridge University Engineering Department and an Associate Director of the Cambridge Auto-ID Lab. He is currently leading several projects in Product Lifecycle Management, including the EU-funded PROMISE project.

Mr Alan Thorne is an Associate Director of the Cambridge Auto-ID Lab, providing expertise within the field of manufacturing automation. Alan has been actively involved in research and demonstrations showing benefits that can be achieved by using RFID and EPC network technologies within the manufacturing field.

Dr Mark Harrison is the Director of the Cambridge Auto-ID Lab, providing expertise in information architectures and technologies. Mark has co-chaired the Tag Data Translation work group within EPCglobal Software Action Group and has authored much of the corresponding specification. Mark was also involved with the initiation of the Auto-ID European Adoption Programme, which is co-ordinating RFID pilot activities in Europe.

Dr Robin Daniels, CEO of Magma Innovations, has directed over 120
technology commercialisation projects. Formerly with London Business School, University College London, Cambridge University and general management in the automotive and material handling sectors.
